We are excited to announce our partnership with FM NewsTalk 97.1 and Clarkston Eyecare for the 4th Annual School Spirit Contest, which gives St. Louis Metro area schools a chance to win up to $5,000!
In addition to the $5,000 grand prize, the contest is adding a $1,500 second place prize, and $1,000 third place prize for the first time. This is our third year sponsoring the contest, and we’re excited to be part of this community-focused promotion once again!
“Building homes is what we do at Lombardo Homes, and we like to be actively involved in the communities we call home,” says Mike Van Pamel, president of Lombardo Homes. “The School Spirit Contest allows us to support our local families and schools and continue to make our communities a great place to live.”
Community members can enter their school in the contest by visiting the FM Newstalk 97.1 website. Submissions will be accepted through Sunday, September 4, with voting beginning on Tuesday, September 6.
The winner of this local contest is completely decided by the FM NewsTalk 97.1’s listening audience! So once you enter your school, tell your friends about the contest and get ready to vote.
Voting will take place in three rounds. The first round will be held from Tuesday, September 6 through Monday, September 12.
The top 25 schools with the most votes will square off in the second round, which runs from Tuesday, September 13 through Monday, September 19.
The ten schools receiving the most votes will advance to the final round, to be held from Tuesday, September 20 through Tuesday, September 27.
The school with the most votes at the close of the Final Round will be awarded the $5,000 grand prize and crowned the 2016 FM NewsTalk 97.1 School Spirit Award Winner! The second place winner will receive $1,500, with the third place winner receiving $1,000.
