Lombardo Homes Team Members Raise Funds and Shave Heads for Childhood Cancer Research

News & Announcements

Team Lombaldy is at it again! Lombardo Companies team members are participating in the annual St. Baldrick’s Foundation fundraiser, which raises money for childhood cancer research. Members from our Michigan team have volunteered to raise money and shave their heads on Saturday, March 12 at the St. Baldrick’s fundraiser event in Romeo.

This isn’t our first year participating in the St. Baldrick’s Foundation fundraiser. Last year, Team Lombaldy raised more than $45,000 to support this cause, blowing our $30,000 goal out of the water and earning the spot as the top fundraising team at the Romeo event.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven organization that’s “committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and to give survivors long and healthy lives.” Each year, the foundation hosts head-shaving events where volunteers collect donations and shave their heads in solidarity with children with cancer. Since 2005, St. Baldrick’s has donated more than $178 million to support childhood cancer research, making it the largest private funder of such research grants.

This year, our team again aims to raise $30,000 for St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Want to help? Check out our team page and make a donation, whether it be to our entire team or an individual shavee. Then, head to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation fundraising event on Main Street in downtown Romeo on Saturday, March 12 to support our team members as they shave their heads for those fighting childhood cancer.
