Each sales manager wears a variety of hats, from guiding our homeowners through the sales and building process, to handling mounds of paperwork and serving as a liaison between our customers and office/construction staff.

Stephanie Klein is one of the most esteemed sales managers within our Missouri division. Two words aren’t enough to describe Stephanie Klein, but if I had to choose, they’d be “spunky” and “driven.”

As the Cranbrook by Lombardo Custom Homes Consultant and Anywhere Lombardo Specialist, Stephanie works with her clients to build their dream home in their dream location.

I recently chatted with Stephanie to learn a little more about her – where she started, what she likes about her career, advice for homebuyers and more.

How long have you worked for Lombardo Homes?
Four years.

How long have you worked in new construction sales?
Eight years.

How did you get into this business? What interested you in the beginning?
My background is in interior design, but I have personally built four homes myself and always loved the process of building. My previous job was in high-end furniture sales, so most of my clients were building a custom home with a builder and we would design the furniture to their space for their new home.

I would sit in on many of my clients’ meetings with their new homes sales manager and help with the finishes and colors and coordinate their new furniture with the design of the new home. I had always been fascinated with the process and I told myself that one day I would like to try this… so, here I am!

What do you like best about your job?
Managing the builds, watching what was created on paper come to life, and striving for every build to go with every expectation set and set correctly. It’s almost next to impossible to set every single expectation for every single and small detail, but it’s an area I strive to perfect to ensure an excellent experience for our customers. I want them to be able to sit back and enjoy their build as I do!

What do you like to do when you’re not working?
I would live at the gym if I could. I love to clean and do home remodels – go figure! However, I mostly enjoy spending time at home with my family.

What’s your favorite restaurant in St. Louis?
BC’s Kitchen.

What do you usually order?
Baby Spinach Salad and Hess Chardonnay.

What’s one thing you wish all prospective homebuyers knew before they visited the sales office?
Building is fun and personalized! We take the time through our Discovery Process to get to know every client’s needs, what is important to them, how they function within and outside of their home, and then recommend customizations and personalizations to make their home their own.

What advice do you have for new homebuyers to help the building process run smoothly?
Trust in the processes and procedures that are set in place. The rules and guidelines are there to ultimately make everything run smoothly, which ensures delivering an excellent experience and product.
